High-quality reconstruction of the North-South highway in the territory of Prague 2. Concerning people, the environment, sustainable transport, and the local economy. This is the subject of our appeal The highway does not belong to the city, as well as the petition under which we collected your signatures for this purpose this summer. Yesterday, October 7, 2024, we officially handed over to the Prague City Council. Now he has to take them into account.

Exactly 1,327 signatures of citizens with permanent residence in the capital on 122 petition sheets were handed in yesterday by the representatives of our LAB in the filing office of the City Hall of the Capital City of Prague, with the fact that another 2,000 people joined the call for the Highway does not belong in the city online.

The contract for the planned humanization of the main road in Prague 2 is relatively unclear, and we want to ensure that what Prague’s center has been waiting for for over thirty years will become a reality. There will be a real transformation of the highway, which is a shame in the center of the metropolis in the 21st century, into a pleasant city street, as we know it from other world cities. The highway already played a significant role when our association was founded in 2003, and basically, since then it has been lobbying for its dignified transformation into a place that will not only serve automobile traffic, but where it will be possible to move and live normally.
